Winfried Hensinger

Universal Quantum’s site says Winfried Hensinger, professor of quantum technologies, founded the company with Sebastian Weidt. It says they were long-standing collaborators at the University of Sussex and that in 2017 they published a blueprint for a large-scale trapped-ion quantum computer, then incorporated the company the next year. The page does not give Hensinger a separate chief-executive title.
