Robert Schoelkopf
D-Wave’s leadership page lists Dr. Robert Schoelkopf as chief science officer. It says he is a Sterling Professor of Applied Physics and Physics at Yale, was founding director of the Yale Quantum Institute, and with colleagues founded Quantum Circuits in 2015, which D-Wave acquired in January 2026. Quantum Circuits’ company page still lists him as co-founder and chief scientist.
