C12’s about page says the company was founded in 2020 by twin brothers Matthieu and Pierre Desjardins, as a spinout of the ENS Physics Lab in Paris, with scientific advisors Takis Kontos and Matthieu Delbecq. The page frames the work around carbon nanotubes and fault-tolerant quantum computing. It does not, in that passage, give Pierre a separate chief-executive title.
