QuantumCore Begins Development of Third Critical Technology for Scalable Quantum Computing

A sourced note from the 7 October 2026 morning scan. The figure of record is the original report, not this page.

Early-stage development announcement

Waterloo, Ontario-based QuantumCore (CSE: QNCR) has started developing multiplexing microchips meant to cut the number of physical wires between room-temperature control electronics and quantum processors. It joins the company's superconducting quantum amplifier and single-photon detector programs; CEO Eugene Profis says you "cannot simply scale today's wiring architecture one million times."

Why it matters

Canadian, publicly listed company working on the wiring bottleneck for large machines. It's an early-stage development announcement, so frame it that way.
