First quantum computer to be rolled out from Amaravati by February 1, says Andhra CM

A sourced note from the 4 October 2026 morning scan. The figure of record is the original report, not this page.

At the PanIIT Andhra Pradesh summit, CM N. Chandrababu Naidu said a quantum system jointly developed by IBM, TCS and L&T would be functional in Amaravati’s “Quantum Valley” by February 1, with a proposed 156-qubit system and mini test labs (including Q-Shiva) ahead of that. He also floated a ₹500 crore PanIIT Amaravati Venture Fund and manufacturing/export ambitions for quantum hardware.

CM claim — not a confirmed install. The February 1 date, the proposed 156-qubit system, the Q-Shiva labs, and the venture fund are what Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said, as reported by Fortune India. Quantum Brief is not treating them as a confirmed install.

Why it matters

Ties a dated hardware stand-up claim to IBM/TCS/L&T and a state deep-tech push — watch for confirmable install milestones vs. political framing.
