Braket hosts IonQ, Rigetti, QuEra, IQM, OQC, and others. The internal Ocelot cat-qubit effort (2025) aims to cut error-correction overhead; a roughly 90% reduction is described as claimed.

Full-stack superconducting machines, including Yukon. DRDC was an early customer. CQCP award of CAD $23 million. Largely non-VC historically. Calcul Québec operates MonarQ for public access.

Baidu Quantum (exited)

Reported Qian Shi ~10 superconducting qubits (Aug 2022), then donated; not an active product

Former Qian Shi superconducting effort, about 10 qubits, announced August 2022. The lab was donated to BAQIS in January 2024. The Asia brief is explicit: do not treat this as an active hardware programme.

D-Wave Quantum

Reported Advantage: 5,000+ annealing qubits (not gate-model qubits)

Founded in Burnaby in 1999. Annealing systems on the Leap cloud, plus a gate-model path via the January 2026 acquisition of Quantum Circuits Inc. for about $550 million. Corporate HQ moved through Palo Alto to Boca Raton; the Quantum Engineering Center of Excellence remains in Burnaby. Named in reported CHIPS awards. Canada’s CQCP was framed in part as a response to this US migration.

Fujitsu (with RIKEN)

Roadmap — not confirmed operational 256 qubits unveiled Apr 2025. 1,000-qubit 2026 install not verified operational. >10,000 by FY2030 is a roadmap

Superconducting machines developed with RIKEN, plus the Digital Annealer (quantum-inspired classical). A 256-qubit system was unveiled in April 2025 and offered on the cloud in FY2025. A 1,000-qubit installation at Fujitsu Technology Park was a 2026 company target and was not verified as operational at the research cutoff. An Osaka University deployment was reported in July 2025. Qubitra Technologies, a joint venture with SC Ventures (January 2026), targets finance.

Google Quantum AI

Superconducting systems, Qiskit, and Quantum System Two, with a Starling fault-tolerant roadmap cited around 2029. Acquired HRL Laboratories in August 2026 for a silicon-spin track. Named in reported CHIPS equity awards.

IQM Quantum Computers

Reported Euro-Q-Exa 54 qubits, with at least 150 targeted by end-2026; VTT path toward 300 ~late 2027

Europe’s most widely deployed commercial superconducting vendor: Euro-Q-Exa at LRZ, VLQ in Czechia, and the VTT path in Finland (150 qubits around mid-2026, stepping toward 300 around late 2027, integrated with LUMI). Deep German manufacturing and operations. In September 2026 Eldorado in Brazil purchased an IQM Spark, the first IQM system in South America, with install targeted for the first quarter of 2027.

NEC

Historical first solid-state qubit demonstration in 1999. Continues superconducting research and sells vector annealing for optimisation. Smaller public qubit scale than Fujitsu.

Nord Quantique

Bosonic superconducting cavity qubits. CQCP and DARPA QBI Stage B. A valuation near $1.4 billion appeared in 2026 secondary coverage; the brief says to treat that figure as reported.

Origin Quantum

Company-asserted Wukong cloud ~72 qubits widely cited; Wukong-180 (May 2026) claimed 180 computational qubits + 251 couplers

China’s commercial full-stack flagship, with a reported semiconductor track as well as superconducting systems. Origin Pilot OS was made downloadable in February 2026 (proprietary code). A pre-IPO round of about CNY 3 billion in June 2026 was reported, Norinco-led, with valuation talk toward CNY 20–24 billion. Dilution-refrigerator exports are a company claim.

Superconducting chips with single-flux-quantum digital control on chip, aimed at multiplexed control and readout. A Taiwan supply-chain MoU is noted in the Asia brief.

SpinQ Technology

Company-asserted Desktop NMR in 200+ institutions / 40+ countries — company claim. Revenue mix unaudited

Desktop NMR teaching systems, exported widely, plus a superconducting line (Ursa Major / Shaowei). Series C and D of about CNY 2 billion in the first half of 2026 were reported, with an IPO target of Hong Kong or Shenzhen around 2027. Claims that superconducting is about 65% of revenue, and that the firm is profitable, are private and unaudited. SpinQ México distributes teaching systems; it is not a Mexican hardware developer.

USTC quantum groups (Jiuzhang / Zuchongzhi)

Reported Zuchongzhi ~105–107 superconducting qubits (2025 research). Jiuzhang 4.0 is boson sampling, not a gate-model QPU

Scientific anchor of the Hefei cluster and the lineage behind spinouts Origin Quantum, QuantumCTek, and CIQTEK. Jiuzhang 4.0 (Nature, May 2026) is a Gaussian boson sampling result — 1,024 squeezed inputs, 8,176 modes, up to 3,050 photon detections were lab-asserted — and advantage claims are contested. Zuchongzhi 3.0/3.2 (2025) is a ~105–107 qubit superconducting research system; a surface-code distance-7 logical qubit below threshold was reported in December 2025. Peer-reviewed research, not a product.
